DFM2HTML Software Registration
This page covers registration information for DFM2HTML. Registration is the process of activating your licensed copy of the software so you can use the full feature set without limitations. It also connects your installation to the version update process and gives you access to registered user documentation resources. This page explains what registration involves, how it works, and what to do if you encounter issues during the activation process. For download links to get the software installed first, visit the download page.
What Registration Does
Registering DFM2HTML links your copy of the software to a license. The process is straightforward: after installing the software, you enter a license key that was provided at purchase or through the official licensing process. The software validates the key and unlocks the full feature set. Registration does not require a continuous internet connection after the initial activation. Once registered, the software operates fully offline.
Registration also establishes your access to version updates. When new builds of the software are released, registered users can download updated installer packages and apply them without purchasing again. The update process is a standard installer run on top of the existing installation.
How to Register
Open DFM2HTML and locate the registration option in the Help menu or in the activation dialog that appears on first launch. Enter your license key exactly as provided, including any dashes and uppercase letters. The software will validate the key and confirm registration with a success message.
If the registration dialog does not appear automatically, it is also accessible through Help, then Register Software, from the main menu bar.
Registration Key Format
DFM2HTML license keys follow a standard format of alphanumeric segments separated by dashes. Keys are case-sensitive. If you are copying the key from an email or document, paste it directly into the registration field rather than retyping it to avoid transcription errors. Keys are tied to the purchased license and cannot be transferred to a different registered owner.
If Registration Fails
Registration failures are usually caused by one of these situations:
- A typo in the license key. Verify each segment against the original key document.
- The key has already been used on the maximum number of activations allowed by the license. Contact support if you need to move a license to a new computer.
- The software version and the license key do not match. Older keys may not activate newer major versions of the software.
- A firewall or security software blocking the activation check. Try temporarily disabling real-time protection during the activation, then re-enable it immediately after.
For persistent registration issues, use the contact page to reach support. Include the license key (or the first and last segments if you are concerned about sharing the full key), the Windows version you are using, and the specific error message the registration dialog shows.
License Terms Summary
DFM2HTML licenses are per-user, not per-device. A single license allows the software to be installed on multiple computers used by the same person. Commercial use is permitted under the standard license. The full terms are documented on the license page. Installing the software constitutes acceptance of those terms.
Unregistered Mode
DFM2HTML can be evaluated in unregistered mode for a limited period. In unregistered mode, some features may be restricted or time-limited. Pages exported in unregistered mode may include a notice in the source HTML. Once registered, those restrictions lift and any notice is removed from subsequent exports.
Support Resources
After registering, you have access to the full documentation library on this site, including the main tutorial, the extended tutorials section, the FAQ, and the community hub. The support page covers how to get help with technical issues.
If you are evaluating the software before purchasing, the features page covers the full capability set and is the best starting point for assessing whether DFM2HTML fits your workflow.
